A Sturgeon Bay citizen aged 21 was held out by police for marijuana possession because the cash he used had a strong scent of marijuana. As law enforcement bodies claim, the money he was going to deposit in a bank, was strongly infiltrated by the drug.
The characteristic smell wasn't produced by the weed, but rather came from the leaves, as the newspapers reported. The smell was quite offensive and distinguished, so that the violator packed the money (about 4,000 dollars) into plastic. The pot and money had a strong interaction which affected the cash to such extent that the reagents used by police to locate the drug tested positive for it, the report states.
The citizen was held as he came back to withdraw some money from his account.
As one of the policemen mentioned, it should have taken place sooner or later. The violator has already been conditionally sentenced. His conditional sentence consisted in 2005 and 2006 affairs for possession of marijuana attributes, possession of the drug itself, interfering police service and intentional damage.
For the present moment the man is being held, waiting for a court's decision over his issue, and the law enforcement committee is reconsidering the marijuana claims towards him provided by the police.
During the house-check it was revealed that the man possesses at least one pound of drug packed for marketing. His house is situated about 400 feet far from the play yard and about 200 feet far from school, which worsens his case because of distributing marijuana so close to a place of children gathering.
There were also $260 found in the man's accommodations. The law enforcement bodies also found a provoking message in his desktop computer which said that the marijuana pack was ready for distribution, as police stated. |
