Several Thousand Dollars in Currency, a Set of Digital Scales and a 4lbs of marijuana Were Hidden in the Vehicle

BIRMINGHAM, Ala (WBRC-TV MyFoxAL.com) -- The Tuscaloosa Police Department featured this press release to reveal a recent drug bust:

February 18, 2009 became the date when patrolmen stopped a 2008 Honda Accord in the 4300 block of Black Warrior Parkway for speeding at 4:40pm on Wednesday.

After the car stopped, officers investigated the car and felt some unrepresentative smell and subsequently it appeared to be be marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Afterwards under narrow search of the two male occupants of the car, a small dose of marijuana fell out from one of the man's pockets. The car investigation revealed that there were 4lbs of marijuana hidden in the vehicle and recovered over, several thousand dollars in currency and a set of digital scales.

Arrested was: London Maurice Weatherspoon- b/m 32yrs of age of Sacramento CA Majadi Johnny Scruggs-b/m 36yrs of age of Sacramento CA Both were placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail charged with Trafficking in Marijuana pending $500,000.00 each.
