PINE ISLAND -- 75 marijuana plants were found in a Pine Island man home, who was arrested on Wednesday on the charge of marijuana possession.
Goodhue County Sheriff's Office has made an official statement, where there was stipulated thar a 57-year-old Pine Island man was imprisoned for storage of marijuana and is being kept under guard at the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center. He is expected to come in court today.
As early as noon Wednesday, deputies served a search warrant at a home in the 700 block of South Main Street.
By expert's estimate, something around one pound of processed marijuana, measured at $2,500 in cash and a .45 caliber handgun were recognized in his home. The 600 block of South Main Street was subsequently investigated, but nothing illegal was found over there.
The warrant to search was peak point of several month-long investigations by the sheriff's office and the Southeast Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Drug Task Force. |
